Monkeys???!!!!!

In the Lowcountry????!!!

Yes, there are monkeys in the Lowcountry! North of Beaufort there is an island named Morgan Island. This island is used as a breeding ground for rhesus monkeys and Captain Watts has been lucky enough to spot them on a few of his leisure trips up there.

Will you see monkeys on your trip? No, the monkeys are only on Morgan Island. Unfortunatly, Morgan Island is further north than we typically go on a regular tour. Because the monkeys can be quite shy, you may or may not be able to see them on a typical day.

 

P.S. Morgan Island is a private island. For your safety as well as the monkeys, no trespassing is strictly enforced.
